Blogs are a dime a dozen, but only a handful deserve to be labeled the distinction “influential”. These are the blogs which make us keep coming back because of their ability to influence the way we think, feel, and even the way we do number 2 in the toilet.
This is the first time I’m joining Janette Toral’s writing project, and I couldn’t be more excited! Drumroll, please… now, here are my picks for the Top Ten Emerging Influential Blogs for 2011:
The Tottering Mama- Parenting blogs are sprouting like mushrooms in cyberspace, but this blog begs to differ. It gives new life to parenting as the author dishes out advice based on her experience in raising two toddlers. This blog proves to be a helpful resource to parents who choose to homeschool their kids.
My Painted Lips- I cannot even begin to fathom how the author of this blog manages to juggle so many things in the air: raising her four kids and maintaining numerous blogs. More than keeping her house spic and span, she manages to pull it off with a sexy body to boot! Her blog spans more than just lipsticks. She inspires other work-at-home-moms to keep looking fab even at home.
LEVYousa- One look at her blog header, and I already feel like levitating. This blog is all about the author’s views on life and basically everything that goes on around her. She seeks to inspire through her chronicles, and she manages to do just that. After I read her posts, I’m always left with a smile on my face (which I can’t easily wipe off), and my soul feels a great deal lighter.
Notepad Corner- What was initially intended to simply be a personal blog has now turned into a rich resource of information which can be applied to everyday life. From useful insights on the profound to practical housekeeping advice, I found them all in the Notepad Corner.
Mom Writes- Anyone can write, but only a few can successfully tug at the readers’ heartstrings. The author’s posts leave me inspired and always thankful to God for all my blessings. She helps me see life through rose-colored glasses.
Certified Foodies- I love to eat out, but I’m often at a loss as to where to go for good food. This blog is heaven sent, as the authors suggest various restaurants which are worth visiting. They’ve also got everything covered… from cheese to alcohol. Reading their blog never fails to leave me hungry and laughing at the same time.
The Bloggers Journal- Needless to say, this blog has helped me in so many ways. Being a newbie, I definitely need all the help I can get when it comes to blogging. The author gives out advice on everything about blogging, from the simple to complex.
My Green Living Ideas- I haven’t really been an advocate of protecting the environment, but this blog has somewhat changed the way I view Mother Earth. The author offers tangible tips on caring for the environment, in a way that isn’t preachy.
Mommy Survival- The author couldn’t be closer to the truth when she says that motherhood is a tough job. Reading her blog has helped me handle things more easily, what with me raising a kid alone. She has virtually carried me through motherhood’s most trying moments with her writing.
