Naturopathic Pediatrics: The Better Alternative

Just a week after my daughter got out of the hospital, she’s sick again- this time it’s fever because of a bad cough with asthma.  Sometimes I wish I took up medicine in college and knew everything about pediatrics and stuff.  Now I’m afraid my daughter has had way too many antibiotics that they’re sooner or later going to take their toll on her overall health.  The antibiotic monster is slowly gnawing its way through her body.  Poor kid.

A close friend suggested taking the alternative medicine route.  Previously, her sons also had frequent bouts of cough and colds, but after she took them to see this naturopathic doctor, they just got better.  They no longer had to take rounds of antibiotics just to get well.

She had me at naturopathic.   I did some research and found out that naturopathic physicians help restore the balance in the body using natural supplements and herbs which do not compromise the immune system.  The constant use of antibiotics creates an imbalance in the system, and leads to more illnesses down the line.

If I lived in Arizona, I wouldn’t waste a single minute and quickly look around for the best naturopathic pediatrician phoenix has to offer.  First on our priorities list as parents is the health of our kids.  If we start dealing with our kids’ illnesses the natural way, they will end up living healthier and happier lives.  It’s never too late…

  1. If natural works, I would try it too. Medicines make me nervous, in myself even, but especially w/the little ones. I hope your daughter feels better soon. We’ve had a rough winter over here too.

  2. There are indeed times when natural or alternative medicine works like wonder. For me, I’d only take it if it’s too risky or if it’s the only choice left for me. :D

  3. This naturopathic might be a good alternative. I never heard of this though.

  4. This naturopathy and homeopathy indeed work. My family is a living testament to this. Whenever we are starting to fill ill we dose up on propolis, echinacea, rodhendron, etc, We heal faster than people who always resort to pharma drugs. I used to have asthma and I decided to stop Ventolin and other drug inhalators and focused on Lagundi, which is a famous Philippine anti-cough and anti-asthma natural herbal supplement. I Have never experienced any attacks since then even if you expose me to smoke-ridden areas. My daughter’s wheezing and coughs are always gone within a 2-day max period because of her homeopathic meds. :>

  5. I read the post and comments with great interest. The reason being is typical medical procedures practised by doctors is “Great” but l personally do not think that they have all the knowledge and there are some things where the “Alternative Medicine” might be on to something.

We all hear about conspiracy theories where some claim that western medicine are with holding some facts regarding cancers….. well l am not so sure about that whole theory myself, but l do concede that at times western medicine would like to keep some alternative therapies and treatments in a dark corner.

I design websites and l built one for a hypnosis therapist who claims to be able to help people quit smoking through hypnosis therapy. Now l have not tried it for myself but l must admit l am tempted….. as l would love some help to quit smoking.

I think we all need to keep our eyes and ears open and keep our mindsets open to various alternatives and if what you are doing ain’t working then it won’t hurt to try something new and different.

I wanted to ask if anyone knows of a natural product we could try for our eldest daughter ? She suffers from Alopecia which is where the hair falls out for no apparent reason.

We have been to many specialists on and off over the years and have tried a few natural products such as nettle teas and a few other things (my misses knows what she has tried) but so far nothing seems to help.

Not sure if anyone will have any suggestions, but thought l’d put the question out there to see how it goes.
