Wishing For Baby #2…

Babies are a wonderful thing.  Although that sounds like a song straight out of a Michael Bolton album, this post isn’t at all about music.  I just got to thinking about how amazing it would be for me to have another baby.  My biological clock is ticking like crazy, and I have to admit, in the deepest recesses of my heart, I’m still hoping for baby #2.

My wishful thinking has found me grazing the webpages of baby products, and I stumbled upon baby changing stations.  I first saw one of these at the ladies room at a local mall, and I thought that it was really convenient to have one at home.  Instead of changing your baby’s nappies on your bed or on a changing table, it seems more practical to get a koala baby changing station installed at home.

If and when that ever-elusive genie in the lamp grants me my wish of having another baby, I will consider getting a baby changing station installed at home.  What I like about it is it’s perfect for my teeny weeny house, as it mounts to the wall.  They fold out and back in when not in use.  I wouldn’t have to fumble for wipes or nappies, as these baby changing stations have pockets to store them in.  These changing stations are also hygienic, because of the material they’re made of.  They have antimicrobial properties.  Any mom would love that, right?

If I don’t get my wish of being a famous rock star, I could at least have baby #2. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.  But I guess, it takes more than crossing fingers to make a baby.

Wow! I had no idea you could install one of those in your own home. I thought they were reserved for public washrooms. Fancy! =)

I’m wishing for baby #2 for you too! =) <3

  2. I feel the same way.. Well, at least I am just imagining having a little baby again. I just wish they were small again! :D

Hoping for Baby#2 for you!!! :D add my crossed fingers! LoL

  3. It’s nice to have at least 2 so they can play together, and so they can have that sibling bond after they leave home that is equal to nothing else–I hope you get your wish! Have a great weekend!

  4. I hope you get your wish granted. It’s good to have at least two for all the reasons Ang mentioned and it also makes it a lot easier on you. My two love it when I play with them, but if I have something else to do, then they will happily occupy themselves for hours. I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you!

  5. 2 kids can be a lot of fun, tho mine fight like crazy now I am sure they will be best friends later. I hope your wish comes true :)
I didn’t know you could get those for your house either. Pretty cool! I have my fingers crossed for you!

  6. i have two now, one 5-yr old and one 9-month old, the little one looks up to his kuya… and yes, it’s not that easy. there are so many things to consider and hehehehe..it does take more than crossing your fngers… hehehe… thanks for the visit!

  7. That does sound really cool to have that installed into your wall like that. Crossing fingers here…

  8. I hope you get your baby #2! We have a small house too. We just put one of those curved changing pads on top of a dresser – it worked well.

  9. I had no idea that you could do that!

  10. First of all, installing the changer would be very cool! Although, even with my baby changer, I always got lazy and changed them on the floor or bed anyway. ;)

As for the second child….I remember that feeling of being ready for another (and at one point, I wasn’t sure I’d ever get that feeling) and then it really did feel a bit consuming…and impatient. And I didn’t even have to wait long. I realize how ridiculously cliche this is, but I firmly believe in the perfect timing of all things. How we are given what we need at exactly the time it is meant to be. Even if its not true, it still makes me feel less impatient and hopeful, so I hold on to it. And honestly, it always does work out…just rarely in the timing I would have pre chosen. So I wish you perfect timing in getting exactly what you need. :)

The wife has been dreaming about baby #2, and she hasn’t even pushed out baby #1 yet. This is madness.

  12. hope your wish comes true!! I always used a chest of drawers for a changing table so it was hip level….but once they start moving around too much I was back on the floor! good luck! I was 40 when i had my last baby.

  13. I could use one of those wall-mounted changing tables, too! As is, my babies get a changing mat on the floor.

I hope you do get your wish for a second baby!

  14. Good post. Not knowing when (or if) I’ll meet someone in the coming years to have a baby with and knowing for sure that my boy who is now 3, will not have a sibling within the first 5 years of his life, is one of the hardest parts I find of single parenthood. I feel very grateful I have one child and I know there are lots of people who don’t get the joy of having even that so I shouldn’t complain at all but I find it heartbreaking as all my friends around me are having baby No. 2 with their partners and knowing that that won’t be me any time soon. If I’d had a long term partner I definitely would have been trying for No. 2 a year ago. One day for us both hopefully.

  15. I have that hope for a second baby too. My husband thinks it’s really weird that I talk about changing tables and look at baby clothes. He just doesn’t understand the longing we have for babies. It’s really a strong instinct, very hard to fight it!

By the way, thanks for your sweet comment on my blog, I really appreciate it. :)

  16. that’s quite the space saver… yeah it take a wee bit more than crossing your fingers! LOL! :)

  17. My fingers are crossed for you! I wish I could be the genie to grant you that wish! (And that changing station, that sounds amazing!! )

  18. Sure hoping you get to have baby #2 soon – and that awesome changing station!!

  19. Sending you baby dust and blessings!

I know how you feel… sending you positive vibes and hoping you get what you wished for. hugs!

  21. Nor does crossing legs. Seriously terrible joke, but I couldn’t resist. My clock is pretty much beating out of my throat, but God-willing, if it is meant to be, it will be. Same for you sweets.

  22. If it’s meant to be, it will happen, Pepper…Who knows? Pray for it :-)

  23. it does take a lot more work than that, but who know, if you cross your fingers enough, you might just get your wish…

i am also mooning for a second baby, a girl this time, so i can have my own little doll + kuya jared can have a baby sister to protect, but it is all wishful thinking. although i know i can still manage to get pregnant, times are hard. but who knows, in a few years or so. now, i am keeping my fingers, too! ^_^
