On a Magic Carpet Ride: A Whole New World of Carpet Cleaning

Our living room carpet is probably one of the most beat up furniture pieces in our home.  Apart from it taking a lot of foot stomping from my at-home Zumba sessions, it has become my daughter’s favorite toy.  Her penchant for Disney princesses has taken its toll on our carpet, as she likes to pretend she’s Princess Jasmine on a magic carpet ride- and I have to stand in as her prince!

With all that activity, it comes as no surprise that our carpet no longer smells as good as it used to.  Sure, I do a spot clean here and there, but I think it’s time to call a Manhattan carpet cleaning company to do the job.

I was never too keen on having my precious carpet subjected to all those harmful cleaning chemicals though, so I was only too excited when I stumbled upon this carpet cleaning company’s website (GreenChoice) that has an eco-friendly approach to carpet cleaning.

Instead of using the traditional chemicals which leave toxins in the air after cleaning, they use products made of organic ingredients.  Purified water, coconut oil and essential oil extracts are just some of the magic cleaning components of their products.

It’s definitely a good thing that we moms now have a wider range of options when it comes to improving our homes.  This environment-friendly route is certainly the best way to go.

I actually did not know there were companies that did green carpet cleaning. Sounds like a great service!

  2. It is surely nice to get something to clean house without causing harm, thanks for sharing this info.

    God’s grace!

    • We must be on the same wave length! Our living room carpet is needing a cleaning, especially now that the baby is almost crawling. We haven’t found an eco option here where we live yet, but will keep searching. Thanks for your post!

  3. This sounds like a great idea, if the day comes when I ever decide to have carpets or rugs in my house. Between the kids and the cats, I’d need a carpet cleaning business on speed dial! It’s good to know you can find one that doesn’t use harsh chemicals.

  4. Hi Pepper!
    It’s been awhile! :)

  5. That’s great. We don’t have carpet, but we do have a large area rug that I’ve been wanting to have cleaned.

  6. That’s definitely a fantastic find. I wonder if there is one around here…

Don’t you love it when you come across something great? I tend to get my carpets cleaned every 6 -9 months. I’m with you on the chemicals! I actually use a company that uses nothing except extremely hot steam (I would love a few essential oils, who knew!?). It gets the carpets super clean, and I don’t have to worry. For my floors and for an everyday household cleaning spray I use a little Lavender soap and Tea Tree oil. Smells great, and no toxins. :)

  8. thanks for sharing this useful information! have a great week!

  9. That sounds like a great company–glad it worked out for you!

  10. I think I need to have the carpets cleaned in my bedroom. Dogs and light carpet are not good together.

Oh I need to get this done sooooooooooo desperately. Our upstairs carpet has been neglected for far too long. It is so nice to have a healthier alternative. When I came home from the hospital with my son, my dad had cleaned our berbur carpet with this white powder that he then sprayed water on!!! Such a well-intended mess. We ended up pulling our carpets up and putting bamboo down.
