Skin Care For Sensitive Skin: The Search Ends Here

My high school years were probably the best years of my life.  I had so much to be excited about:  there was prom night, school fairs where I got to ogle cute boys from the all-boys school next to our school, and countless sleepovers at my girlfriend’s house.

Although those years were riddled with so much fun, there was an undertone of insecurity on my part, as I battled with acne.  Yes, I was your typical pimply-faced teenager who tried every imaginable product to solve my skin problems.  My search ended with Cetaphil.  I started using the Gentle Skin Cleanser then, and haven’t stopped since.

My love for Cetaphil continued to bloom through the years.  When I gave birth to my daughter, Cetaphil was what the hospital used to clean her newborn skin.  I continued using that on her well until her preschool years, and I must say that she has never had any case of rashes or skin infections- ever!

I know I’m not getting any younger, and that I should seriously start thinking about moisturizing my skin.  Since I have ultra-sensitive skin that tends to breakout quite easily when aggravated, I have always been hesitant to slop on any type of moisturizer on my face.  I have made history with Cetaphil Daily Facial Moisturizer with SPF 15, as this is the first ever moisturizer I’ve used.  I fell in love at first application!  I like that it’s not greasy and unscented.  It doesn’t feel heavy on your face, and amazingly, I didn’t feel the slightest itch.  This moisturizer keeps the skin hydrated while protecting it from the sun’s harmful rays.

Another product from their line which is worth trying is the Cetaphil Daily Advance Ultra Hydrating Lotion.  Again, it’s perfect for sensitive skin like mine, so I’m once again grinning from ear to ear.  It’s a lotion meant to give intense moisture to very dry skin.  It’s fragrance-free and non-greasy.  A week after I started using it, I noticed the skin on my arms is smoother.  I used to feel some bumps along the part of my forearm which hits the desk when I put my hands on my office table.  But now, they’re gone.  I use it as an after-shave on my legs as well.

At the risk of sounding like a TV commercial, I just have to say that there simply is no other product line for me… Cetaphil is it!  My search for the perfect skin care product has finally come to an end.

  3. I enjoy Cetaphil products because they are way cheaper than the branded skin care stuff – and yet produce the same results.

    Thank you for sharing.

  4. I have not really tried that yet, but I would love to. I have read so many positive reviews about the product. Thanks for sharing!

  10. these must be a good product. neither have i used that nor have heard it. Maybe we have that here in America or at the Filipino Store.

  12. I don’t know why it took me so long to use Cetaphil, but I am using the facial cleanser now. I want to buy other Cetaphil as well.

  13. We’ve been using cetaphil eversince my oldest was still a little baby. It was our pedia’s advised because it’s mild and good for his eczema

  14. My 12 year old son is currently using cetaphil for regular face wash since he is already starting to battle with adolescent acne.

  15. I believe you because you’re speaking from experience. I used Cetaphil only once, I think, because it was recommended by a skin doctor before. I wonder why I haven’t used it again. I’ll look for a new Cetaphil product to use on my next visit to the grocery.

  16. I really have to end my search here and try this product. My two daughters have very sensitive skin.

  17. Baliktad naman for me, I didn’t have problems with acne during high school, after I gave birth to my second child, that’s when the break outs happened! :P I used to sneak a few drops of cetaphil from sister’s stash (I was too stingy to buy my own. :P) back in high school, so maybe that’s why I didn’t have acne.. :P

  18. They say that cheap products can do the work of the more expensive ones and I believe that as true! I’ve tried Cetaphil and it could do wonders. :)

  19. Cetaphil is indeed best for sensitive skin. even though im not a cetaphil user, i know its the best for those with skins that are highly sensitive and i recommend it :)

  21. I haven’t used this but per review this is wort a try :)

  22. I’m using the Cetaphil gentle skin cleanser and I like how it hydrates and moisturizes the skin. However, on days which I have breakouts, I use another product on top of the cleanser, a lemon soap to fight against acne :) Anyway, I’d love to try Cetaphil’s facial moisturizer and hydrating lotion soon :)

  23. Wow, so this brand has been around for a long time. I’ve been seeing loads of reviews for Cetaphil lately and I, myself would like to do one.

  24. wow!!! I have not really tried that yet, but I would love to. I have read so many positive reviews about the product. Thanks for sharing!

  25. well I don’t say Cetaphil products are not effective & helpful. Many people & specially women used Cetaphil products. well thanks for sharing this such a wonderful summary.

  26. Cetaphil is really perfect for those who have sensitive skin. Well, it is also perfect for different type of skin. :) And I agree that this can also be a substitute for facial care.
